Juan Alberto Santiago-Alvarez, 70 of Parma, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 22, 2021. He was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, on August 12, 1951. He was a teacher at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School in Cleveland, OH for many years. He served in the U.S. Army. He loved working with the youth and served as a volunteer Cub Scout Master, and was honored with the Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award (Boy Scouts). Formerly married to Lisette Medina-Figueroa. He was father to Ianeli Santiago, Iosanna Santiago and Ivan Santiago, grandfather to Sofia Lisette Santiago, Isabella Montgomery, Ivan Nathaniel Santiago, Kendall Santiago (in Heaven), and Amora Danielle Santiago Medina. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 12:00 noon-2:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 PM.
