Liberty - Kenneth Harold May, 78, of Liberty passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Thursday, June 17, 2021.
A native of Alamance County, he was the loving husband of 56 years to Edna Mac Alderman May, who survives and the son of Boyd Ervin May and Dorothy Garrett Pickett May, both deceased. He retired from Leesona and later worked as a truck driver for Stout Trucking. He was an avid outdoorsman while loving to hunt, fish, and work in the garden. Mr. May was a member of Brightwood Christian Church in Gibsonville.

In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include a brother, Mark Clinton May and wife Deborah of Alamance; niece, Angela May (White) Sepulveda and husband Jesus of Burlington; two nephews, Travis Mark May and wife Kristi of Ossipee and David Ross May, Jr. of Mebane; seven great nieces and nephews, Abigail May, Zeke May, Chazz May, Isaac White, Luke White, Cory May and Tara May; sister-in-law, Patricia Hicks of Elon; and two brothers-in-law, Charles Alderman and wife Clara of Swepsonville and Frank Alderman and wife Judy of Virginia. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Ross May, Sr.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Ricky Cox with the family receiving friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
