Joshua loved helping others, fishing & drag racing with his grandfathers, working in his garage and playing on anything with an engine. He loved spending time with his brother, nephew and especially with all his many friends. Joshua had an amazing voice and loved to sing. He had an infectious smile that could light up any room. He loved his family more than anything.
Joshua is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ernest Avery, Jr. and Sharon Lamalie; maternal grandmother, Judith Grosjean; his father, Richard "Corky" Avery; and his mother-in-law, Kathy Wasserman. He is survived by his loving wife, Allison Avery; mother, Vickie Avery (Dennis Matheny) of Oak Harbor; father-in-law, Michael Wasserman of Fremont; his brother, Justin (Denise) Avery of Fremont; brothers-in-law, Nicholas (Maggie) Wasserman, Benjamin Wasserman and Jeffrey Wasserman, all of Fremont; his nephews, Quentin Avery, Cooper Talikka, Dexter Wasserman and Rooney Wasserman; niece, Logan Wasserman; and maternal grandparents, Rollin Grosjean of Marblehead and Robbie and Cheryl Hughes of Graytown.
Visitation for Joshua will be from 1:00-3:00 PM and 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, October 29, 2021, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 30, 2021, at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, 122 W. Ottawa St., Oak Harbor, followed by interment in the Elliston Cemetery, Elliston, Ohio.
