James Robert Cagle, age 45 of Bottineau, died on Friday, May 7, 2021 at his home in Bottineau. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.

James Robert Cagle, the son of George M Cagle and Karen Jean McWilliams, was born on May 4, 1976 at Grand Forks. He moved to Bottineau with his family in 1984. Jimmy attended Bottineau High School where he played football and ran track. He graduated in 1995. He moved to Crookston, MN and worked as the bakery manager at Hugo's. Jimmy returned to Bottineau in 2018 and worked as a baker at the Family Bakery.

Jimmy enjoyed doing mechanical work and spending time with his puppy, Turbo. He was very kind and giving. He was always willing to help anyone that needed it.

He is survived by his mother, Karen of Bottineau; sister, LoriLynn (Stephen) Hanson of Grand Forks; brothers, Terry (Jenifer) Lauckner of Bottineau, Michael (Michelle) Lauckner of Minot, Timmy Cagle of Grand Forks, Gene (Kristie) Cagle of Jamestown and Joey Lauckner of Fargo; numerous nieces and nephews and his companion, Meriah Gocio.

He was preceded in death by his step father, Donald Lauckner.
