Susan A. Hagen Palmer Freeman of Southport, NY, age 82, passed away at home on Monday October 25, 2021 following declining health. Born on May 7, 1939 in Ft. Edward, NY; Susan was the daughter of the late Pierce and Harriet Thomas Hagen. She was predeceased by her son, Lee. She is survived by her loving family, husband, James (Jim) A. Freeman; and eleven children together, Lee (Anna Cleveland) Palmer, Steven (Colleen) Palmer, Alison (Jeff Baker) Palmer, Jeff (Debbie) Freeman, Dennis Freeman, Walter (Mindi) Freeman, Rodney (Sue) Freeman, Peter (MaryEllen) Freeman, Joel (Paula) Freeman, Ben (Trisha Kraack) Freeman, Zane (Jennifer) Freeman; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A caregiver by nature, Susan retired from the Chemung County Health Department as a home health-aide and as a WIC counselor. She enjoyed reading, helping others at New Beginnings United Methodist Church Food Pantry, and most of all - family times.
