Bobby "Bob" Eugene Watt, age 79, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2021, after a brief illness. He was born in Knoxville, TN on August 21, 1942, to the late Clarence Eugene Watt and Evelyn Marcelle Watt. His home for the past forty-five years has been in Seymour, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Johnny Watt.
Bob is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Phillips Watt, as well as aunts, uncle, cousins, and friends.
Bob had a huge heart for animals of all types, but especially horses and dogs. He and Mary raised some fine quarter horses carrying large percentages of the bloodlines of Poco Bueno. Many horses and dogs have been loved on the Watt farm. In addition to horses and dogs, Bob enjoyed watching the squirrels and birds feed on the grain that he lovingly provided for them. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his wife and all the animals.
Special thanks to our wonderful neighbors and friends. No one could ask for better neighbors who are like family to us and have helped so much during this time and continue to help.
Memorials may be made to Sevier Animal Care Center, 1040 Dolly Parton Parkway, Sevierville, TN 37862, Young Williams Animal Center, 3201 Division Street, Knoxville, TN 37919, or any animal shelter of your choice.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour. Online condolences may be made at www.atchleyfuneralhome.com
