Jean Abbott Leach, 82, died Tuesday, August 25, 2020. Born in Darlington, SC she was a daughter of the late Marion Levi and Ozelma Shelley Abbott. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Cheraw, SC. She was an avid Bridge Player (Wednesday Night Bridge Club). She was a former member of the Cheraw Garden Club, DAR and Church Circle. Mrs. Leach enjoyed cooking, gardening and traveling.
She is survived by her husband of 62+ years, Jerry B. Leach of Cheraw, SC, a son, Jay (Dawn) Leach of Cheraw, SC, a daughter, Vicki Leach of West Columbia, SC, grandchildren, Jason Leach and Hannah Leach, brother, Roy C. Abbott of Darlington, SC, sister, Betty A. Mims of Darlington, SC, also many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents listed above, brothers, Warren (June) Abbott, Randolph (LaWann) Abbott, sisters, Elizabeth (Vernon) Kinley, Olivette (Jake) Patterson and brother-in-law James Mims.
A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, August, 28, 2020 in Old Saint David's Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Old Saint David's Church following the service.
