HAYWARD — Florence M. Williamson, 95, of Hayward, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at the Hayward Nursing Home.

Florence Mildred was born Nov. 12, 1903, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Nels and Ida (Anderson) Hemwall. She grew up and attended school in Chicago, and graduated from Metropolitan Business College. She was united in marriage there to Walter B. Williamson on July 5, 1930. They lived in Chicago, where Florence worked various jobs until they retired to Hayward in 1965. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Hayward.

She is survived by two sons, Wayne (Barbara), Hayward, and Laird, San Francisco, Calif., and Yachats, Ore.; two grandchildren Lisa (Laurence Wiland) Williamson, Washburn, and Claire Williamson, Austin, Texas; and nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Ethel Hemwall, and her brother, Harold Hemwall.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at First Lutheran Church in Hayward. Pastor Timothy Anderson will officiate. Music will be provided by Rebecca Iverson, organist, Laurence Wiland, guitarist, and Marilyn Loder and Pastor Timothy Anderson, soloists. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hayward.

Visitation was held from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. Friday at the Anderson-Nathan Funeral Home, Hayward.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 346, Hayward, 54843.
