Funeral service is 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 3, in the Hankins & Whittington Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Deborah Warren, Director of the Regional AIDS Interfaith Network (RAIN) officiating. Committal service and interment will be Saturday in Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory.
Mr Adams was born May 1, 1959, in Catawba County, NC and attended Conover High School. He was a graduate of the New York School of Pet Grooming as well as the Florida School of Pet Grooming and owned Bucky Adams Pet Grooming until 1991.
A sales associate with Roy White's' Flowers, Mr. Adams was selected to provide floral services to both the Bush-Quayle and Clinton-Gore Presidential Inaugurations.
Mr Adams particularly enjoyed traveling and took many trips abroad each time looking forward to the next.
Survivors include his companion of twenty-two years Ed White, and Ed's family Jimmy and Martha White, and Margaret and Eric Blaeser, all of Charlotte.
He is also survived by his mother, Zella Shuford; brother, Michael Adams; sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Carroll Hoyle, Patricia and Billy Green, and Pansy and Dean Warsham; and stepmother, Carlene Adams, all of Catawba County; his half-sisters, Sarah Gold Davis and Kristen Gold, and their parents Barbara and Tom Gold, of St. Louis, MO.
Honorary pallbearers for Mr Adams' service are Clyde Alexander, Boyce Ballenger, Steve Johnson, Abner Maldonado, David Emery, Jean Young, Brian Todd, Mark George, Michael Tucker and Phil Richardson.
Hankins & Whittington is serving the family of Mr. Adams.
