JoAnn loved her God, her family and her country. She was a retired waitress. Mary loved playing the piano, having taught herself to play. She also enjoyed playing and singing, especially Gospel music. She also enjoyed fixing clocks.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles F. Groves, her son, Roger Neal Groves, her brother: Lindsay Sullivan Cashman Jr., and two sisters: Wanda Glee Farr and Rose Carolyn Cook.
She is survived by her two children: Cheryl Powell and her husband, Kerry, and Mark L. Groves and his wife, Cami Travis-Groves. Five grandchildren: Karen Denise Powell Stiles, Jennifer Groves, Courtney Groves, Nathanial Groves, and Charlie Groves; three great-grandchildren: Brandon Lee Stiles, Rebecca Lynn Stiles and Cash Groves.
Burial Thursday, October 28, 2021, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
