Paul Whitney "Wayne" LeBlanc was the eldest of 5 children and was often looked up to as a father figure by his siblings and others. He was born in the family home in Cankton, LA. and was a long-time resident of the area. He was raised as a country boy and his first language was French. He always enjoyed speaking French with friends and family. As a result of his Cajun upbringing, he learned many valuable lessons that carried him throughout his life. Wayne began his adult life by attending SLI for a few years in pre-pharmacy and eventually became a very successful businessman in various businesses starting out in the dirt business, trucking, oil field service and then the crane business. He eventually retired and was able to enjoy his dream of farming in many different forms, which included cattle, crawfishing and vegetable farming. All would agree that he was considered a workaholic, jack of all trades and was known for his for his joie de vivre. There is no question he was a one-of-a-kind legend!

LeBlanc, and Cathy A LeBlanc and her husband Michael "Buck" Billeaud; his two grandchildren, Cody Wayne Jones and Cassie Ruth Jones; and four siblings, Malcolm LeBlanc, Cynthia LeBlanc Scelfo, Rebecca LeBlanc White and Jennifer LeBlanc Dugas.
