TROY John "Jack" Walsh, 83, of Rt. 40, Troy, NY passed away Friday October 22, 2021 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Paul H. and Arlene Connolly Walsh. Jack was educated at St. Patrick's School in Troy and was a 1956 graduate of Catholic Central High School as well as a 1958 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College.

A bridge and road construction Project Manager, he retired from A. Colarusso & Son Inc. Prior to that, he was employed by C.D. Perry & Sons for more than 30 years. Jack was a member of the Pleasantdale Fire Department as well as served on the Planning Board and was a Code Enforcement Officer for the Town of Schaghticoke for several years. Jack served as the Director of the Volunteer Drum and Bugle Corp in Speigletown as well.

Jack was married to the Love of His Life, the late Shirley Martin Walsh, for 56 years, prior to her death in 2017.
Jack is the loving father of Margaret "Margo" A Perras (Tom) of Melrose and Darlene "Dee-Dee" M. Walsh (Brian Wood) of Lake Villa IL. Jack is also survived by his stepmother Helen Walsh of Hoosick Falls, brother Robert Walsh (Terry) of Vero Beach, Florida and his brother in-law John Stamas (husband of the late Janice Walsh Stamas) of Troy. Jack is the very proud grandfather of Nadine Schworm (Jim), Zachary Perras, Noah Perras, Brianna Wood and Gabrielle (Gi Gi) Wood. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 9:15 am from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford and at 10 am at Transfiguration Parish, Speigletown. Interment will be St. John's Cemetery, Troy.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 pm
