MILLIGAN, STEPHEN MATTHEW - age 37 of Knoxville and San Jose, CA, passed away suddenly, Friday, April 9, 2010. He was a devoted, generous, and talented son, brother, and uncle to his family. Matt was a graduate of Central High School, 1991. Active in many clubs, and performer with Bobeat Company Singers, the Senior Class voted him as Most Talented. The faculty selected him as the 1990 delegate to Boy's State. His musical honors include being named to the Tennessee All State Chorus for three years, and being named the number two baritone in the state in 1989. Matt was also a graduate of Vanderbilt University, Summa Cum Laude, Class of 1996. His passionate work ethic led him to a profession with Price, Waterhouse, Coopers where his calling was to create a positive and accepting environment of diversity for all employees regardless of race, gender or orientation. His work earned him the Chairman's Award, the highest award given by PWC. He spent his spare time working with underprivileged adolescents through summer camps and Junior Achievement. Matt is survived by his mother, Deborah Fitch Milligan; father, Terry Milligan; brothers, Terry and wife, Jennifer, and children; brother, Nicholas and wife, Ericka Fry Milligan, and children; grandmother, Mary Wyrick Fitch; aunts, Gloria Johnson, Tracy Shipley, Carolyn Rowe, Pat Bilddle; many cousins. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Central Baptist Church, Fountain City, with receiving of friends from 2; 00 - 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation In As Much, 4815 Santa Monica Rd., Knoxville, TN, 37918. Byrd's Mortuary Maynardville (formerly Ailor Mortuary) in charge of arrangements.
