David B. Prom, age 75 of Mankato, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at his home.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato, with Joyce Kolbet SSND officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park at a later date.
Visitation will be on Tuesday morning from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of services at Woodland Hills Funeral Home in Mankato.
David Brian was born on February 22, 1943 to Arthur A. and Laura E. (Johnson) Prom in Mankato, Minnesota. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1961.
On April 25, 1964 he was united in marriage to Diane M. Maas in St. Peter, Minnesota. After their marriage David and Diane moved to rural Good Thunder to raise their family. Over the years he was employed at Acme Carburation, Continental Can Co., Lindsey Brothers, and B&M Trailers retiring in 2009. In 2015 David and Diane moved to Realife Cooperative in Mankato. He enjoyed working in his shop, snowmobiling, camping, fishing, hunting, and loved time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Diane of Mankato; son, Brian (Sarah) Prom of Fridley; daughters, Rita (Bradley) Baumgartner of Mankato, Kathy (Robert Bescheinen) Prom of Good Thunder; grandchildren, MaKenzie Baumgartner, Gillian Baumgartner, Makayla Bescheinen, Emily Bescheinen, Colton Bescheinen, Piper Prom, Oliver Prom, McKenzie Degidio, and Madison Degidio; brother, James (Elaine) Prom of Mesa, AZ; sister, Joyce (Don) Adams of Madison Lake; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
