Loretta Breckenridge, age 94, died peacefully on November 23, 2014 in Kansas City, Missouri. Loretta was born as Loretta Pearl Lineberry in Madison, Missouri, on March 21, 1920.
She was the youngest of six siblings and spent her early life in the small town of Mendon, Missouri. She attended College for two years in the late 1930s. In the 1940s and 1950s, she worked as a homemaker and primary caregiver to her three children.
She worked in the 1960s at the Union Wire Rope division of Armco Steel in Kansas City, Missouri.
When she retired, she moved to Sun City, Arizona. In 2009, Loretta moved back to Kansas City to be close to her family. She will be remembered as a fun-loving woman who enjoyed her family, her friends and playing golf and card games.
She was preceded in death by her only son, John Kent Breckenridge. Her daughter, Barbara Breckenridge Dunn, and her daughter, Ann Breckenridge McDonough and Ann's husband, Parker McDonough, survive Loretta. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jessica Brandmeyer
and her husband, Matt Brandmeyer; Christian Dunn and his wife Ellie Dunn; Meghan McDonough and Breck Dunn and her great-grandchildren: Lucille Brandmeyer, Benjamin Brandmeyer, Pete Dunn and Jack Brandmeyer. She is also survived by her long time companion Mal Iles.
A private family celebration of Loretta's life will be held. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be
