Mary T. "Maureen" (nee Moriarty) Mullins, of New Milford, NJ was 89 when she passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Born in New York City, she moved to New Milford, New Jersey in 1959 and has been an active community member ever since. She was predeceased by her husband Denis Mullins, who she was married to for over 60 years, and her sister Joan Moriarty. Mary is survived by her sister Kathleen (Dave Shubert), children Denise, Michael (Kathleen), John Mullins. She was a devoted grandmother to Joshua Chiavaro, Stephen Lyman (Bill Anstadt), Kaitlin (Barry Connolly), Michael (Merrin), Christopher (Tiffany), Sean, Evan, and Danny and loving great-grandmother to Fiona, Braden, Blake, Mason, Reagan, and Isabelle.

Mary dedicated her entire 40 year career in the brokerage industry, retiring as Assistant Manager at Wachovia Securities Morristown. She started with the firm at W.E Hutton, which became Thompson McKinnon, Prudential, Wachovia, and ultimately Wells Fargo after acquisitions/mergers.

After retirement, Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, cruises with her sister and her good friend Edith, and visiting nearby states with her husband Denis.

Mary was the President of the Friends of New Milford Library for over a decade, a board member of the New Milford Senior Advisory Board, an avid reader (famous for an unconfirmed rumor that she read every book in the New Milford Library at least once) and enjoyed meeting new people as an active member of the Red Hats, a group that she loved dearly.

She will be profoundly missed by all of her family and friends in addition to the community of New Milford of which she was extremely active and proud. She will forever be remembered for her sharp wit, her community service, and her resolute spirit.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford, NJ on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The following day on Thursday, October 28, 2021 a Funeral Mass will be celebrated in her memory at 9:30 AM in the Church of the Ascension, 256 Azalea Drive, New Milford. Burial to follow in Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ at 11:30 AM.
