Charles Brady Cox, 74, of Princeton, died Saturday October 23, 2021.
Born August 13, 1947 in Tazewell County Virginia, he was a son of the late Charles Gordon Cox and Blanche Edith Lang Cox.
Charlie retired from Norfolk Southern Railway after 35 years of service in the engineering department. He was of the protestant faith. Charlie attended Princeton High School but transferred to Bluefield High School to graduate with his high school sweetheart. He loved nature, anything outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Charlie was married to Patsy Ann Thacker Cox, and had two children; a son Charles Brian Cox of Princeton, WV and a daughter Rhonda L. Bailey (Richard) of Cherryville, NC, 3 grandchildren; Emilee Cox of Princeton, WV, Allison Bailey and Michelle Bailey both of Cherryville, NC and one great grandson; Caiden Cox. In addition to his children and grandchildren two other young men that Charlie loved and mentored were Jakob Lynch and Hayden Rambo.
Funeral services will be held Thursday October 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Tony Reed officiating. The burial will be private.
