GRANDY, Lillian Clara May (nee Morrison) formerly of Peterborough Passed away October 11, 2018, at Mackenzie Health Regional Hospital in her 100th year. Beloved wife of Donald William (deceased), formerly of Peterborough. Lillian was the daughter of the late Joseph Morrison and Florence Esson of Otonabee Township. Dear sister of Olive Morrison of Peterborough. Predeceased by sisters Bessie Patton (Samuel), Viola Bland (Steven), and brothers Roy Joseph Morrison (Lareta Sedgwick), and Arthur Reynold Morrison (Betty). Lillian spent many hours volunteering at St. James United Church. She helped sell tickets for the plays performed by the ever-popular St. James Players. She enjoyed baking for the various fundraising teas and bake sales for the church. She will be dearly missed by her son, Robert Donald William Grandy, her daughter, Karyn Diane Banwell (Eric Bloksma), her three grandchildren, Krysta Gutteridge (Jay), Melissa Tilley (Brinley), and David Banwell (Jenny), and her five great-grandchildren, Lillian and Benjamin Gutteridge, Reid and Blair Tilley and Taylor Banwell. Lillian's celebration of life will be held Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 2 p.m., at St. James United Church, 221 Romaine St., Peterborough. Rev. Julie van Haaften will conduct the service.
