Gary E. McLeod, 76, of Liverpool, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Born in Elmira, NY, the son of the late Charles Emerson and Greta Anna (Rose) McLeod, he was also predeceased by his sister, Luan C. Peters. He graduated from Central Technical High School and served in the US Navy in the Philippines and Viet Nam. For 21 years he worked for the US Postal Service as a letter carrier and counter clerk. Later, he was an assistant manager for Sweetheart Market. Gary was a collector of coins, stamps and collectibles. He had a booth at the Regional Market and in Bouckville. Also, he was a private label music producer and author of the 1967 Jeff Kreiter Guide to Doo Wop. Surviving are his wife of 36 years, the former Judith A. Hagger and children, Thomas and Heather. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 pm on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Fergerson Funeral Home, 215 South Main Street, North Syracuse followed by services the funeral home. Private burial, with military honors, will be in Onondaga County Veterans' Memorial Cemetery. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
