Gary worked as a Fixed Ops Manager for 48 years for various Volkswagen dealerships. He was a member of the Volkswagen of America Parts Advisory Council. He and Barbara enjoyed traveling all over the world, discovering family history, and spending time with their granddaughters and great-grandsons.
Gary is survived by his wife, Barbara Butler of Plano, Texas; son, Daniel Butler and wife, Pamela of Galesburg, Illinois; daughter, Laurie Roberts and husband, Wes of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Lexie Montgomery and husband, Ty and Catherine Butler; great-grandchildren, Levi, Kyle and Kane; brother, David Keck and wife, Becky; sister, Sue Ann Gerveler and husband, Patrick; sister-in-law, Judy Egbers; and numerous loving nieces, nephew, cousins and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Luella and Earl Keck; grandmother, Maude Rose.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 25, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service.
Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.
