Arlene Louise Thompson Price, 76, of Roanoke, VA, passed peacefully in her sleep on Thursday evening. Arlene was born in Salem, VA August 5, 1945 to the late James G and Louise L. Wheeling Thompson both of Salem.
Arlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward D. Price; daughters Wanda Sue Price and Rebecca Jean Carter; brother, David W. Thompson and sister, Linda T. Wolfe. She is survived by son, Larry W Price (Debbie) and Sandra E Bragg (Jeff), and sister, Kathleen M. Keith. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 4 special nieces and nephews.
Arlene enjoyed attending bluegrass music festivals with her husband and her bluegrass "family", winning ribbons in flat footing dance competitions, watching NFL Patriots, Tom Brady - every time he played, as well as cheering on NASCAR's, Jeff Gordon #24. Most of all, Arlene loved her family and enjoyed making memories with all those she loved.
Family visitation will be held at Oakey's North Chapel on Monday, October 25, 2021, from 11-1 PM followed by a procession to the graveside at Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
