Born Saturday, October 24, 1942 in Birmingham, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Leon Whitten and the late Ida Hill Whitten. Mrs. Harris was a home-maker and retired Administrative Assistant for the Northwest R I School District in High Ridge, Missouri. She was a devoted pastor's wife who served with love and devotation the churches where God sent them. Mrs. Harris was a member of Church Grove Baptist Church. Anyone that knew "Miss Donna" was aware that she was an avid fan of the Auburn War Eagles.
Funeral services for Mrs. Harris will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday October 24, 2021 at Church Grove Baptist Church in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Rev. Ronnie Turner. Interment will follow in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Crockett Mills, Tennessee with Rev. Randy Kellough officiating.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of sixty years, Rev. Jackie Harris of Newbern, Tennessee; one son, Michael Harris (Chris) of St. Robert, Missouri; one daughter, Paula Harris Kellough (Randy) of Bells, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Matthew Kellough, Cade Harris, Whitt Kellough, Hailey Harris and Hannah Harris and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Pearl Lancaster Whitten and one sister, Dorothy Martin.
Honoring Mrs. Harris as pallbearers will be Randy Kellough, Matthew Kellough, Whitt Kellough, Xander Kellough, Riley Kellough and Jim Sarratt. Honorary pallbearers will be Hailey Harris, Hannah Harris, Marlee Grace Kellough, Allysa Harris, Danica Harris and Heaven Leigh Harris.
