He was born on July 19, 1945 to the late Paul Eugene and Helen Nichols Tuggle. Paul Ray was predeceased by his parents; his parents-in-law, Avery and Ethel Jarrell; his sister, Anita Faye Mitchell; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Paul Ray worked for Trinity Industrials of Dallas, Texas as a truck driver for over 25 years. He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids, NC. He enjoyed NASCAR races and traveling to the beach.
Paul Ray is survived by his wife of 55 years, JoAnn Jarrell Tuggle; his sons, David Tuggle (Kathy) and Bobby Tuggle; his grandson, Staff Sargent Paul David Tuggle; his great-grandson, Colton Hoover; sisters-in-law. Shirley Jarrell and Dottie Stapler; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at Maranatha Baptist Church, 595 Zoo Road North, Roanoke Rapids, NC at 10 am on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.
The family will receive friends after the memorial service in the Maranatha Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
