Edward Kent Alvey age 64 of Sale Creek and formerly of Dayton passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at Erlanger East Medical Center. He was born in Georgia on December 17, 1956 the son of the late Robert Eugene Alvey, Sr. and Mary Rose (Cranfill) Alvey.

He was a graduate of Rhea Central High School class of 1974 and earned his associate degree at Chattanooga State. Ed retired from IAC in Dayton and enjoyed sports cars and mowing his lawn with his tractor.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, and two granddaughters. He is also survived by his three brothers, along with a special niece.

Funeral services for Ed will be held Monday, October 24, 2021 at 12 o'clock noon with Rev. John Fields officiating. He will be laid to rest near his family in Buttram Cemetery in Dayton.
