The late Mr. Heinrich Friese, who passed away at the General Hospital, Brisbane, on October 3, was born in Hombush, Germany. He came out to Queensland in a sailing ship in 1873, and landed in Maryborough. Later he engaged in farming at Myrtle Creek,
Antigua, where he resided until a few weeks before his death. Deceased was married twice. His late wife predeceased him 10 years ago. He leaves three sons and three daughters to mourn their sad loss, namely Mrs. O. Afterteen (Owanyilla), Mrs. H. Boge
(Byrnestown), and Elisabeth Friese (Brisbane), and George, August and Charles Friese (Mundubbera). One son (Frederick) predeceased his father.
