David Davidson, 84, passed away on October 20, 2021, in Gilmer, TX.
David LaRoy Davidson was born on February 25, 1937 in Harleton, TX, to Grady Lee Davidson and Georgia Estelle (Nix) Davidson.
David married Katie Mae (Johnson) Davidson on November 30, 1957 at Southside Baptist Church in Gilmer. They were married for 57 years until Katie passed in 2014. The couple had 1 child, David Michael Davidson.
He later married Kay Arrington and she survives him.
David was best known for his kindness. He was a good man who loved his family more than life itself. His granddaughter, Jennifer Farmer, was his entire world....at least until his great-granddaughter, Jacie, was born. His greatest passions in life were God, family, fishing, the Dallas Cowboys and the Gilmer Buckeyes.
David proudly served in the US Army.
David is survived by his wife, Kay, of Gilmer; his son, David and wife, Mandy; granddaughter, Jennifer Farmer and fiance, Bruce; and great granddaughter, Jacie Ann Farmer and beloved caretaker and friend, Pam Atkinson.
David is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Lynn, Dionne, and "Clutch".
The Graveside service for David Davidson will be held on Monday, Oct 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Monday, October 25, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Croley Funeral Home and will be led by the Patriot Guard Riders at 10:45 to the cemetery.
