Robert A. Wheeler, 86, of Charlottesville, Va. died on October 19, 2021 at home.

Born May 5, 1935 in Sharon Pa., he was the son of Robert and Mary Wheeler. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara Wheeler, who passed away August 18, 2021.

He was an outstanding husband and father who led by example and exemplified the value of loyalty and hard work.

Robert is survived by his sons, Scott Wheeler of Charlottesville, Va. and Todd Wheeler of Earlysville, Va., a brother, Donald Wheeler (Pat) of Oil City, Pa. and grandchildren; Sierra, Shannon, Rebecca, Kendall, Taryn and Raelyn; great-grandchildren, Lynley and Langston.

Robert was a Scottish Rite 32 degree Mason, New Bethlehem Lodge No. 522, Shriner and a member of the Charlottesville Elks Lodge BPOE 389.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday October 27, 2021, 10am-11am at Hill and Wood with burial following immediately at Holly Memorial Gardens.
