Sandra "Sandy" Alberta Mann, 79, passed away at Ascension All Saints Wednesday evening, October 20, 2021.
Sandy was born to the late Harvey Sr. and Helene (nee: Sommarstrom) Sprowl on August 12, 1942, in Pacifica, California. She was united in marriage to Bernerd "Bernie" Mann on January 27, 1960 in San Francisco, California.
Sandy was strong in her faith and always put others first. When she worked outside the home, Sandy was employed at Motor Specialty in Racine and ended her career working for Ametek in Mt. Pleasant. Her love of gardening, crafting, and sewing showed in every project she touched. Her flower garden was especially attractive and enjoyed by those who visited or passed by.
Sandy is survived by the love of her life, her loving husband, Bernie; daughter and friend, Lori (Paul) Maccari; daughter Nicole (Joe); grandchildren: Jennifer, Brian (Janis), Kailey (Teran), Alexis (Shayne), Caitlin, Brayden, and Delaney as well as her bundles of joy, great-grandchildren: Rylie, Violet, and Michael. Sandy found great joy when she could share time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and absolutely loved being "GiGi." She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Sandy was preceded in death by her sons: Rodney Mann and Stewart Mann; her brother, Harvey Sprowl Jr.; and her sister, Marilyn Fournier Pufford.
A celebration of Sandy's life will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Patrick Faulk officiating. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service with fellowship to follow. Private interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park on a later date. Memorials in Sandy's name may be directed to your favorite charity or to hers: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
