Barbara A. (Engstrom)Pollock, age 85, of Warwick, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021. She was the wife of the late Kenneth T. Pollock.
Barbara was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Edward J. and Anna (Kibbe) Engstrom, and lived in Warwick for the last 52 years.
She earned Master's Degrees from Rhode Island College and Providence College.
Mrs. Pollock was a science teacher at Pilgrim High School in Warwick for many years before retiring. She was a tireless volunteer throughout her life, most recently volunteering at the Warwick Senior Center in numerous capacities. Her favorite activity was participating in the Senior Buddies program mentoring elementary school children. She loved to garden and spend time with her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl (Springer) Lataille of Florida; two sons, Edward Springer of Warwick and Robert Springer of West Greenwich, a step-son, Greg Pollock of Coventry; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the step-mother of the late Stephen Pollock and the sister of the late Bruce Engstrom.
Her visitation and funeral service were held on Thursday, October 28, in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Burial was in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick,
