Mrs. Delter (Eliza Ann) St. John, a resident of 9th Model on Route 2 Morrison, died of an extended illness in River Park Hospital at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Born on the 4th of July, 1893, Mrs. St. John had lived for more than 88 of America's 205 years of independence. The Cannon County native was a member of the Church of Christ and on August 18, 1912 married Delter St. John who preceded her in death Jan. 1967. She was a daughter of the late Thomas Indiamon and Amanda Jane Ashford Prater. Survivors include two sons, Charles D. St. John of Morrison and Billy St. John of Tullahoma; two brothers and two sisters, Andrew Prater, S.D. Prater, Mrs Simon Roberts, all of Morrison, and Mrs. Lurlia Reed of Indiana as well as four grandchildren. Ron Martin, Vernon Joines and John High conducted funeral services in the Pleasant Knoll Church of Christ at 2 p.m. Thursday. Interment was in Morrison Cemetery. High's, Inc., had charge of the arrangements.
