He was born 16 February 1899 Cherokee, Kansas(WWI Registration Card) to Joseph Ball (1863-1921) and Sarah Elizabeth "Sallie" Lewis (Her first marriage was to Francis Marion Mitchell=m.-1887)

Elsie Ruth (1903-2000)
( and x3 Mitchell half siblings= Effie Mitchel , Willie Mitchell and Marion Mitchel (1st husb. died=1894).
Robert "Bert" married Della May Gray (m.1895 per census 1900-OK;she stated that her age was 18 but on census she was only 16) and had 3 children-Robert Lester Jr.-(1920-2003), Joseph Kenneth (1924-____) and Betty Ruth (1926-26 Dec 1995)
Robert received a WWI draft notice @ 19 yo when he was a farmer with his father Joe.
Robert was in WWII @43 years old..
Robert died 2 Apr 1966 Mariposa, Ca and Della died 20 Mar 1995 Madera, Ca.
Della and Betty died the same year-9 months apart.
