Betty was born on August 21, 1940 to the late Anthony and Luella (Horton) Pinto in Alexandria, Virginia. She graduated from L.P. Goodrich High School in 1958. She married Michael Meyer on October 12, 1963. They just celebrated 58 years of marriage.
Betty worked for Oakgreen Golf Course for several years in her later years. Golfing was her great passion after the kids were grown. She cherished the friendships she built over the years. Betty enjoyed gardening, reading and her home projects, she loved anything DIY. Betty retired from the golf course once her grandchildren started to arrive. Those memories will always be saved in her heart.
Betty is survived by her husband Michael; one son, Keith (Cherylann) Meyer; two grandchildren, Jessie (Josh) Funk and Corey Meyer; two great-granddaughters, Ashley and Scarlett; one sister, Ilene VanGorder; one brother, William Pinto; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Darren Meyer, her parents, two sisters, Linda (David) Wright and Rose Rady; brother, David (Jan) Pinto; brother-in-law, Harold VanGorder and sister-in-law, Barb Pinto.
Per Betty's wishes, private family services will be held. Burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park.
