Donald "Don" Scott Evans, Sr., age 70, of McDonough, Georgia passed away October 21, 2021. Don was born December 4, 1950 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Frank Olin and Elizabeth Smith Evans. Don retired from the Civil Service in 2000 and then worked for Bellamy Strickland as the parts manager. Don attended Turning Point Church, was an avid gardener, loved art and travel. He and Debbie were always in the search of a bargain at yard sales and collected Donald Duck memorabilia. He especially loved time with his grandkids. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Debbie Evans; sons, Randy (Sarah) Evans of Morrow and Donnie (Amber) Evans of Jackson; grandchildren, Sierra (Kyle) Legg, Ashlynn Evans, Brianna Evans, Bailey Evans, Faith Evans, Gracie Staples, Carlie Wilson, Perry Wilson and Allie Grace Alday. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2021 - 3:00 PM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service.
