AGE 98 YEARS
Doris Therese Lynch Of Woburn and Gloucester, passed away October 19, 2021. Cherished daughter of the late Thomas K. and Susie B. (McCall) Lynch. Devoted sister of the late John Lynch, Thomas K. Lynch, Jr., Helen E. Lynch, Dr. George W. Lynch, Marietta R. Lynch, Gertrude A. Lynch, Esther L. McManus, Kathryn A. Mullin, and Frances Lynch. Beloved aunt of 3 nieces and predeceased by 4 nephews. Further survived by many loving great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Doris was born and grew up in Woburn where she lived for more than ninety years in the house at 9 Arlington Road. She was a graduate of Regis College and earned a Certificate of Advanced Study at Boston University. A beloved teacher, for many years she served as Chair of the Business Education Department at Woburn High School. She also served two terms as President of the Massachusetts Business Education Directors Association. An active community member, she founded the Woburn Friends of Hospice Care and for many years remained a dedicated Hospice volunteer.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, October 26th, in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 11:30 a.m. Services will conclude with Burial at Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.
