Roger K. White, 74, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at his residence.
Born September 10, 1947 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Carroll White and Helen (Alexander)White. He married Pam(Stedman)White in 1988, and she preceded him in 2008.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Carol Kelsheimer of Terra Haute, Shana Wolfey of Shelbyville, a son, Richard Skillman of Shelbyville; 3 grandchildren, Jaymi, Angela, and Matthew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his spouse.
Mr. White was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1965.
He had been a production worker at Allison Transmission of Indianapolis, retiring after 25 years of service.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, American Legion Post #70, United Auto Worker's Local, and was a brother-of-arms with the American Legion Memorial team.
He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran, serving on the USS Enterprise.
Roger loved fishing, and was a practical joker. He enjoyed watching old TV movies, NASCAR, and was an Indianapolis Colts fan. He enjoyed the time he spent with his family and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Glenn e. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Rev. Mike Keucher officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, where a military service will be conducted. Friends may call on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
