The 1900 U.S. Census shows that George and Rachel, along with George's father, John, were living on the McDonnell Ranch. Both George and John were farming.
Note: Lelia Crouch [Elizabeth's niece] was responsible for the bronze plaque. The contributor of this memorial has a copy of a letter from Lelia Crouch dated May 17, 1973 in which she states in her response to Marian Rich: "...when my parents died and [their] ashes were buried in the old cemetery [Pioneer] here, I had Aunt "Lib's" (Elizabeth [Wright]) and Uncle George's names added to the bronze plaque on the family lot, as well as my Mother's bachelor brother [James Cyrus]."
