Joan was a founding member of St. Jude the Apostle Church. She enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, traveling and ballroom dancing.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Dean Welch. Survivors include two children - Dr. Thomas Welch (Judy) and Carol Anne Sansieri (Patrick); 4 grandchildren - Anna Rose Welch, Daniel Welch, Brian Hubbell (Kristen) and Matthew Hubbell (Vanessa); 6 great grandchildren; and a sister Maxine Fromknecht.
A private memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 26th at 11AM. Afterwards, burial will be in the chapel at Calvary Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street.
