He was born in Beach Grove, Arkansas on March 29, 1940; the son of the late George and Mildred (Brown) Stevenson. He was united in marriage on September 20, 1964 in Winona, Missouri to Sharon Mooney; she preceded him in death on October 31, 2019.
He was retired from Civil Service having worked for the NOAA and was a retired United States Navy Veteran having served on the U.S.S. Haverfield.
Memorial visitation for Robert was held on Saturday October 2, 2021 at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri. He was interred October 22, 2021.
