Boonville, IN. – Charles "Charlie" William Becker, 69, of Boonville, Indiana went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 after a long struggle with heart disease. Charles was born in Evansville, Indiana on September 3, 1952 to the late George and Marguerite Snyder Becker.
Charlie was a life-time learner with many self-taught interests including fishing, gardening, hobby farming, and mechanics. If it was in the Reader's Digest Back to Basics, he could do it. He was a good loyal friend to many, sharing all he could. He worked as a machine shop foreman for 42 years at Mohler Technology in Boonville, Indiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Theresa.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 50 years, Karen "Kay" (James) Becker of Boonville, IN; daughters, Lisa McMurtry (Scott) of Murfreesboro, TN; Jamie Newman (Eric); grandchildren, Katelyn Aldridge, Jakeb Newman; sisters Sylvia Huntsman of Hendersonville, NC; Tina Shawgo (Dale) of Haubstadt, IN; Patricia Thorbecke of Princeton, IN; sister-in-law, Judy Lutz; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 P.M. on Saturday, October 23, 2021 with Chaplain Randy Bectal officiating. Burial will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville, Indiana. Visitation will be from 9 A.M. until 1 P.M. on Saturday October 23, 2021 at the funeral home. Published in Courier Press on Oct. 22, 2021.
