William "Bill" Boehmer, 87, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on October 17, 2021 at St. Vincent Medical Center after a short battle with Covid-19. He was born in Covington, Kentucky on October 17, 1934 to Bernard and Lillian (Gamm) Boehmer. Bill graduated from Holy Cross High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. On October 6, 1956 he married the love of his life, Gayle (Derks) who preceded him in death. They moved to northwest Ohio to work at BP Refinery, retiring in 1992. Bill was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Louis Catholic Church and then Epiphany of the Lord Parish- St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He adored spending time with his daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren. He never missed a game, special event, and danced at every wedding. He had a way of making every one of them feel special. His Wednesday morning golf and Saturday morning breakfast plans were set in stone, even scheduling vacations around those weekly commitments. Bill was a dedicated friend and good neighbor, who would respond at the drop of a hat. His quick wit and sense of humor brought a smile to everyone he met.

Bill is survived by his children, Lynne Boehmer, Laura (Glen) Amundsen, Teresa (Rob) Weaver, Monica (Dan) Kerner; grandchildren, Brooks (Diana) Clayton, Ryan Clayton, Nick (Dana) Robertson, Lily Boehmer, Derek Kerner, Erin Kerner; and sister, Barbara Boehmer and sister-in law, Anita Derks Schneider.
