Born August 23, 1933 in Millry, Alabama, Bill was the son of the late Leslie E. Noble and Mary Winslow Noble. He was a proud graduate of the class of 1955 of the Alabama Polytechnic Institute, now Auburn University. Soon after graduating, he met the love of his life, Marjorie Ann "Sissie" Noble, while living in Carrollton, Alabama. They married September 1, 1957, and spent their early years of blissful marriage soaking up the sun on the beach in Pensacola, Florida, where they had their two children. In 1960, he was honored to become one of the"Pensacola 51," the first group of Chemstrand employees called to Greenwood to open a new plant. Becoming a beloved member of the community, with a smile and an easy manner that warmed every heart he touched, Bill found his passions in fishing, hunting, farming and all other things outdoors. He and his wife travelled to the 49 continental states in their motorhome and had plans to travel to Hawaii "as soon as they finished the bridge." He will be remembered by his family for his colorful stories and sense of humor.
He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, his two children, William Gregg Noble (Lisa) and Lynn Noble Nuckolls (Doug), six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
