She was a graduate of the University of Phoenix, a material scheduler for Kohler for 40 years, and a member of Sardis Missionary Baptist Church in Grapevine. She enjoyed crafting, making cups, and t-shirts. She loved to be outside in the pool, going to the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed shopping, working, and making fun of telemarketers.
Anita died Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff at the age of 58.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Larry Stone, Jay Stone, Willie Stone, Ernest Stone, and JR Stone.
Survivors: husband Kevin Hawkins of Sheridan; stepson, Christopher Hawkins of Anchorage, AL; daughters, Kayla (Thomas) Phillips of Sheridan, Kara Ring of Sheridan; brothers Jackie (Juanita) Stone of Grapevine, Johnny (Debbie) Stone of Sheridan; sisters Teresa (Tony) Stringfellow of Sheridan, Thelma Gray of Sheridan; 7 grandchildren, Kirsten, Tyler, Peilani, Brennon, Aaliyah, Kristopher, and Mason; and a host of nieces, nephews, work family and friends.
Graveside service will be 12:30 pm Monday, October 25, 2021, at New Hope Cemetery with Bro. Ronald Young officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 until 12:00 before the service.
