Donald R. Mitchell, 65, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana passed away Monday, October 18, 2021, in Edgewood, Kentucky.
He was born February 20, 1956, in Lawrenceburg, IN, son of the late John Mitchell and Ada (Spence) Mitchell.
Don worked as a Lineman for the City of Greendale and the City of Lawrenceburg, where he retired with over 30 years of service.
Don loved the outdoors, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved hunting deer, rabbit and even bear. Don enjoyed traveling to visit and vacation with family and friends, he also enjoyed traveling out West. Don liked tinkering on old vintage cars and trucks.
Donald is survived by his loving spouse Julie (Rutledge) Mitchell, sisters, Helen (Mickey) Ross of Lawrenceburg, IN, Dodie Lozier of Aurora, IN, Deloris Beach of Lawrenceburg, IN, Shirley (Bill) Herald of Bright, IN; several, nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Ada Mitchell; siblings, Henry Mitchell, Gerald "Sonny" Mitchell, Alma Boggs, Janie Beach, and Larry "Pete" Mitchell.
Friends will be received Saturday, October 23, 2021, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Dearborn Baptist Church, 9636 State Route 48, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at the church, at 2:00 pm with Billy Clark officiating.
Interment will follow in the Gibson Cemetery, Bright, Indiana.
