Cade Hastings Thompson left this world to go to his heavenly home on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the age of 18.

Services to celebrate Cade's life will be held at Big Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, October 23, 2021. The visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and the funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM. Bro. Justin Rhodes and Bro. Andy Pittman will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of the arrangements. (601)649-3342

Cade was born on October 2, 2003 to his adoring parents, Chris and Lorrie Thompson of Soso. He was a senior at West Jones High School and a member of the Mustangs football team for five years.

He is survived by his brothers, Andrew Thompson (Christine) and Ross Thompson (Lindsey), nephews, Riley and Konner; nieces, Hadley and Marley Jane; paternal grandmother, Kathy Thompson; maternal grandmother, Ann Hastings; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ronnie Thompson; maternal grandfather, Earl Hastings; and great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Jefcoat, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Hendry and Mr. and Mrs. Graham Leo Thompson.

Cade will forever be remembered and loved by his family. He had a smile that was unforgettable and a laugh that made everyone join in laughter along with him. He was an avid fisherman and was excited to be a part of the Mustang football team. He also loved spending time with his girlfriend Kallie Jordan and her family.

Pallbearers will be Derrick Jordan, Greg Thompson, Peter Hastings, John David Hastings, Andy Pittman and Justin Rhodes.

Honorary pallbearers will be The West Jones Mustangs Football Team.
