Mrs. Julia Ann Mobley Holmes, born in Girard, Ga to the late Marvin and Julia Mae White Mobley, entered into rest Tuesday, January 10, 2017. She was educated in the Burke County School System, graduating from Blakeney High School in 1968. She then attended Savannah State College and Georgia State University. Mrs. Holmes was a retired employee with Baxter as a pharmaceutical representative for twenty years before joining her husband in business. Mrs. Holmes leaves to cherish fond loving memories with her husband; Everett Holmes; daughter, Lisa Holmes; brothers, Marvin, Jr., Judson (Betty) and Burnie (Marcia); sisters, Minnie Ruth, Wilmatine and Carol; mother-in-law, Mrs. Jessie Mae Holmes; sister-in-law, Bobbie Ann and a brother-in-law, James (Louise) Holmes and a host of godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of life will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 14, 2017, Smith Chapel AME Zion Church, 9571 Ga Highway 23 South, Girard, Ga., with Reverend Bobby Williams, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Thompson Bridge Baptist Church cemetery, Waynesboro, Ga.
