Nancy was born in Decatur, Illinois on May 21,1945, the daughter of Arthur Woolums and Mollie Seay. She attended school in Mt. Zion, Illinois.
She married George Wallis on September 1, 1962 in Decatur.
Nancy was a loving wife, mother, then exponentially, a grandmother and great-grandmother. This would be her favorite job, and she excelled at it. Attending events and ballgames filled her time and she loved every minute of cheering everyone on. She loved spending time with her family, she loved to bake, and in her younger years she sewed lots of her children's clothes. She also loved to shop at the thrift stores.
Nancy had a loving and bright soul. She was known by many for her morning inspirational post to encourage her family, friends, and church family. She left a lasting impression on all whom she loved.
Left mourning her loss are her husband, George Wallis; children, David Walbright, Kimberly (Greg) Fry, Jeff (Tammy) Wallis, Kelly (Ed) Hattemer, Jerry Wallis, Joseph (Susie) Wallis and Katherine England; sister, Catherine Rittenhouse; 23 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
She was joyously reunited in heaven with her parents; brother, Terry Woolums; sister-in-law, Barb Krooner and several aunts and uncles.
