Mrs. Mary Margaret Hicks, age 78 of Wingo, KY passed away at 12:27 PM Friday, October 15, 2021 at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY. Mary Margaret was a member of Russwood Baptist Church in Springville, TN, attended Wingo Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a retired plant manager for a clothing manufacturer.

Survivors include her husband – John R. Hicks; son – Stephen Reid Hicks of Murphy, NC; brother – Thomas Ellegood of Mayfield, KY; three sisters – Rose Riggs of the St. Denis Community, Jeanette Hamilton of Mayfield, KY, Sharon Vaughn of Mayfield, KY; brothers – David Ellegood of Benton, KY and Ken Ellegood of Wingo, KY; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents – Howard & Mary Eva (Willett) Ellegood; daughter – Angela Dawn Depato; son – James Alan Cole; and brothers – Rudolph Ellegood and Mike Ellegood.

A Memorial Service for Mary Margaret will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, October 18, 2021 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Kenneth Vaughn will officiate with inurnment to follow in the St. Denis Cemetery. Friends are invited to call after 2:00 PM on Monday October 18, 2021 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.

Per the Family's request, anyone attending the visitation or memorial service are asked to wear a mask due to the on going Covid-19 pandemic.
