Linda Lee Clay, 80, passed away peacefully October 19, 2021 surrounded by family and caring nurses at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Yazoo City, MS

Graveside services will be held October 21, 2021 at Glenwood Cemetery with graveside visitation at 1:30 PM followed by services at 2:00 PM with Brother Ken Lynch of Parkview Church of God officiating.

Linda grew up in Louise, Mississippi and graduated from Louise High School. She worked at Yazoo City EPA and retired with over thirty years of service. The past three years Linda resided at the Martha Coker Luse House.

Linda never met a stranger and fiercely loved her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Jackson Lee; her mother, Janie Oline Lee; her sisters, Doris Jane Rutledge, Rienzi, MS and their infant sister Mae Belle Lee. Linda is survived by her children Lee Ann (Robert) Clark of Chapel Hill, NC; Thomas (Stephanie) Clay of Yazoo City, MS and their father, Tommy Clay of Louise, MS; five grandchildren: Tyler and Lake Clay of Yazoo City, MS, Caroline (Adam) Schmelzer of Apex, NC; Rob (Laura) Clark of Garner, NC; and Joe Clark of Charlotte, NC; and two great grandchildren, Camden and Catie Ann Schmelzer.

The family would like to thank staff of Martha Coker for their care and support the past three years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Martha Coker Green Houses or the charity of your choice.
