Obituary of Christine Ilene Snyder.

ERWIN, TN: Christine Ilene Snyder, age 59 of Erwin, TN passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at her residence. Christine was a very loving mother and Granny to her fur grand dog Rascal and is now a beautiful angel in Heaven.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs Clarence and Doris McClain; and brother Johnny William McClain.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Synder, daughter Jennifer Arnold and fur grand dog Rascal Elvis Arnold. And 3 brothers, Ralph, Terry and Alan. Mother-in-law Ruth Snyder, special sister -in-law Susie Snyder. Sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Odessa and Mike Solomon, Kathy and Johnny Steffey, along with several nieces and nephews and former son-in-law Steve Arnold

A memorial service will be held at Red Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 1674 Red Hill Rd.

Gate City, VA 24251 on Sunday March 24, 2019 at 6pm. Carter-Trent / Scott County Funeral Home is Weber City, VA is proudly serving the Snyder family.

Christine was born to Clarence and Doris McClain on January 13, 1960 in Kingsport, TN in Sullivan County. Christine and Jim Dorton got married. Christine and Jim had a daughter, Jennifer. For some time after the divorce Christine was a single mom to Jennifer. Christine was a working mom and sometimes Christine would take Jennifer to work with her. Then in November of 1993 Christine married Charles Snyder they had no children together. In January 2019 Christine has a heart attack in the ER in Erwin Unicoi County, TN, and the hospital was not equipped to take care of a heart attack patient. So her daughter, Jennifer had her mom flown to the next town over to Johnson City TN. So they can take care of her mom. In March 10, 2019 Jennifer had a shocked of her life when she found her mom Christine had passed away sometime during the night due to a massive heart attack. Christine was only 59 years old.
