Judy Miller, age 87, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away peacefully on Monday, October 18, 2021 at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Judy was born on February 15, 1934 in Trenton, Mo., the daughter of Richard Farrell and Iva Viola (Thomas) Holloway. Judy grew up in Trenton, Mo. and was a 1952 graduate of Trenton High School. It was during this time that she met the love of her life Robert Dean Miller.

They were married on November 19, 1952 in Trenton, Mo. when Bob was home from leave during his time in the service.

After their marriage, Judy began working for Southwestern Bell as a Telephone Operator until 1955. Once they began to have children, Judy cherished the role as a homemaker until her girls were older. She always put family first in life and would do anything to support them. In 1973, Judy began working for the Missouri Department of Revenue until her retirement in 1993.

Judy was a member of First Christian Church and stayed active with her weekly exercise class through her involvement with the YMCA Silver Sneakers Group.

Judy's favorite places were being at home with family and "playing in the dirt" as she called it when tending to her flowers. Bob and her were a fixture at spending Friday nights at the Ecco Lounge. Judy loved those memories because they also were filled with family and friends and many times celebrating a birthday, anniversary or other big life event with the people she loved. Recently, her favorite role was "Mema" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she cherished any time with them. She will be remembered for her caring heart and the constant love for others.

Survivors include: her loving husband of 69 years, Bob; two children, Debbie Werner (husband, Tom) of Des Moines, Ia., and Linda Bolten (husband, Keith) of Jefferson City, Mo.; three grandchildren, Joey Bryan (wife, Kourtney), Jessica Cozart (husband, Jeremy), and Justin Bolten (wife, Leah); nine great-grandchildren, Tatum Bryan, Cooper Cozart, Jack Cozart, Harley Bolten, Cain Bolten, Winter Bryan, Haven Bolten, Jasper Bryan, and Charley Cozart; and her beloved dog, Rocky, who she spoiled rotten.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 24, 2021. Her family has requested anyone in attendance to please wear a protective mask.

An additional visitation will be held at the Chapel of Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Trenton, Mo. from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2021 for friends and family to come and share memories. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
